God doesn’t turn a blind eye towards the poor. He sees them and knows them by name. If He provides for the birds of the fields, He certainly cares for those who He created in His image (Matthew 6:26).

Star Rock Ministries' summer season has begun. As a kickoff to summer, we were thrilled to have partnered with Spectrum Ministries to provide the Gift of Camp to 130 kids and orphans from some of the roughest neighborhoods in Tijuana. In these under-resourced communities (an understatement), food is limited, home life is insecure, and violence is all too common.

"So many of our kids come from homes where food is scarce and meat is a luxury. We blessed the kids all weekend long with great food, meaningful activities, role models, and a safe community filled with God's love tucked in the foothills of Ensenada.  Just watching the kids enjoy the meals filled my heart with joy. What is likely the most valuable part of camp is deepening relationships with the children we serve. We know these kids, and many of their struggles. Just writing this letter makes me tear up.
