People may ask, "why give to Star Rock Ministries?" Katie and John are here to tell you why!
"The power of camp is life changing. Jonathan and I have both experienced this first hand as kids. For myself, as a former camper and staff member of Yosemite Sierra Summer Camp, I saw firsthand the intentionality that goes into loving campers well. I remember as a camper, I felt fully known and fully loved by my counselor and girls in my cabin. My experience as a camper was pivotal in encouraging my self-confidence and has shaped who I am today.
As a staff member, I remember I was taught the importance of leaning down to the eye level of a child and speaking encouraging words of who they are - we believe that is a beautiful picture of how Jesus loves us too!
We give to Star Rock Ministries because we believe every child should experience this life changing intentional love of Jesus through camp; no matter their background or financial situation. We know that at Yosemite Sierra Summer Camp, every child will be in the hands of staff who knows how to have fun and loves like Jesus does."
