The Value of Dignity
“Dignity doesn’t just mean always being composed. It means a belief in oneself and others, that one is worthy of the best, that what another has to say and experience is vitally important." -Maya Angelou
Star Rock Ministries strives to pursue all stakeholders: campers, partner organizations, donors, board members, camps, and all relationships with dignity, excellence and respect. Perhaps this is better said in the words of an SRM camper. Enjoy Daniela's thank you to Star Rock.
“I had an amazing experience during camp. I loved that the camp had everything already set. We were able to receive and send mail to our families. Everyday they had all our activities scheduled and ready to go. The food was outstanding! One of my favorite things that I enjoyed was the Good Night Song. I am in choir at my school so getting to hear the harmony from the staff every night before they gave us a good word was beautiful. Camp will be something I will cherish for the rest of my life. All of the people and memories is an experience I will never forget.” -Daniella SRM 2024 Camper
‘There is no longer Jew or Greek, there is no longer slave or free, there is no longer male or female – for you are all one in Christ." Galatians 3:28
The essence of Star Rock Ministries value of dignity is that we are all one in Christ. We are worthy of God's love, care, outstanding food, thoughtful listening, beautiful harmony, good words, and high quality camps that have everything, "already set."
