As the fall season is upon us, we look forward to introducing you to some of our extraordinary SRM partners!  These student centered organizations and individuals love camp!  Their narratives will vividly share how and why camp plays a significant role in transforming and accelerating the important work of shaping young lives all year round.

Meet Brittni Rudolph, San Onofre Elementary director of STEM and innovative education, teacher, marine spouse, and mom.  For more than 15 years Star Rock Ministries and San Onofre School at Camp Pendleton have worked together to cultivate a relationship that supports military children living on base.  

All of us at San Onofre have been deeply grateful for the annual scholarships to both Emerald Cove Day Camp and Yosemite Sierra Summer Camp. Star Rock has given these students experiences that are once in a lifetime. For many it is the only short break from their life of uncertainty.  It is a time of extraordinary growth, fellowship, and celebration!

And, as if that’s not enough, Star Rock Ministries has graciously decided to extend even further beyond the summer camp! With the idea of developing and supporting the whole child, SRM will be helping resource the outdoor educational opportunities and experiences for every student at San Onofre.    From marine mammal cruises, to working a local farm, to even a gold panning experience that captures the kids' imagination. The students at San Onofre will not only be engaging in hands-on, real world learning, but will also be building a direct connection to the area they currently call home.

As a parent, teacher, and military spouse, I can speak for all of San Onofre when I say THANK YOU! We are immensely grateful for the opportunities and love you have extended to our children who might not otherwise be afforded this experience .
