Star Rock Ministries XLR8 camp concludes on the final night with an evening reflection on the impact of camp. As we reflect on entering into the holidays and wrapping up the year, we are reminded of the words noted by a Star Rock Ministries partnership director:
"For the last 5 years, I've stood on a mountain meadow in the High Sierras at Bass Lake. Under a starlit sky in the darkness, we light candles reminding this circle of students of the light that they carry in Christ. I watch faces light up and hearts come alive. Every year, I stand there with tears in my eyes, knowing that God has transformed the lives of young people forever on that mountain. I deliver an exhortation of being sent back, plugged in, lit up and empowered by the Spirit of God. Then I stand there and exhort my own heart- a ritual reminding me that God has changed not just their lives but also my life forever on that mountain."
