Star Rock Ministries and UYWI (Fuel Networks) teamed up to provide our final winter camp of the season. Winter Camp 2 (April 12-14) at Pondo Camp provided over 178 campers and volunteer staff from the LA Network the gift of winter camping. Enjoy a few highlights of this memorable weekend from our LA partners:
A total of 152 campers. Nearly all attendees, except for seven, participated in a prayer session to seek God’s guidance in transforming their cities.
10 different programs from 10 different cities across Southern California, each bringing unique perspectives and insights. Additionally, two licensed therapists were present to serve as life coaches, offering essential mental health support and addressing any issues that arose.
All program leaders expressed a strong desire to participate again next year and are keen to bring even more students. Our primary triumph was fostering the development of both student and adult leaders who are now equipped to return to their communities, spread the gospel, create positive change, and advocate for low-income areas.
